GM Felix Cortes started training in the Filipino Martial Arts at the Sayoc International Schools for Kali in Jamaica Queens, New York on April 1977. He began his training under the guidance of Pamana Tuhon Christopher C. Sayoc Sr, and on July 7, 1991 He was promoted to the rank of Tuhon. GM Felix Cortes is the first student to receive this high honor, and he is the Highest ranking Member in the Sayoc Fighting System, and The Founder of Filipino Combatives Global GM Felix is dedicated to promote the Filipino Martial Arts, and carry on the high moral code & values he has learned. For over 35 years GM Felix has taught and promoted The Sayoc Fighting System, and the Filipino Combatives Curriculum is based on his training and experiences with Pamana Tuhon Christopher C Sayoc Sr.
